Magnetic Sponsoring Commissions

By Peter | August 31, 2009

I just received an email telling me to “Do a little money dance Peter, because you just made
a commission with your Magnetic Sponsoring System!”

With this email, I earned about $100 for the month of August by advertising Mike Dillard’s products on a couple of my blogs (This one and Free MLM Leads Daily) and on TrafficSwarm.

Too bad I had to wait 30 days just in case the person returns the products. That’s what happened to my very first sale several months ago. I was so happy when I got the email, but the person returned the product a few days later.

These sales were not returned, and I should be receiving the payment into my PayPal account some time this week.

I own several websites, so hosting is split between all of my sites, and I already generate a steady $30 from my other sites to pay for my hosting, so as far as I’m concerned, my Magnetic Sponsoring Commissions are FREE MONEY!

I tried using PPC to promote Magnetic Sponsoring, but I was just throwing money away.

As you can see from my blogs, I rarely write anything, so I must say this isn’t bad for doing practically NOTHING.

Just imagine if I put a little more effort into my blogs…

Three traits of successful MLMers (Network Marketer)!

By Peter | May 18, 2009

There are three traits of successful MLMers (Person who does MLM):

  1. People who have built up a network of previous relationships. I don’t mean friends and family, I mean store owners or folks active in the community. These people are successful because the relationship they have built has a certain amount of trust. It doesn’t take much to convince others in an existing relationship to join an MLM because of the trust aspect.
  2. The Salesman or Saleswoman. These are the people who can sell a freezer to an Eskimo. They have the gift of gab and can manipulate almost any situation to their advantage.
  3. People who have something unique to offer their downline. These people have a “Secret” strategy for their downline. The secret can be a special recruiting technique or something simple like doing follow-up calls.

How can you develop these traits?

Achieving Item #1 – On the Internet there are many ways to develop business relationships: Forums in your niche, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to name a few.

For example: On Twitter, follow the people that are already successful in your niche. For MLM try Ty Tribble and Mike Dillard. You want to take your cues from those who are successful and participate in their conversations.

If you own a blog, successful blogs are all about relationships and creating a dialogue with readers. This is a natural by-product of owning a blog. Succesful bloggers build relationships and then they monetize this relationship.

How does this relate to MLM? Like a good “squeeze page” blogs offer useful free information in exchange for your loyalty and contact information (Building a List). Bloggers further monetize their relationships by recommending products using affiliate links to earn affiliate commissions. This would be the upsell, crosssell, or even the funded proposal in an MLM list building campaign.

Achieving Item #2 – Becoming a better salesman or saleswoman is a little more challenging. If you don’t like to talk to people, becoming a good salesperson is going to be very challenging. BUT don’t for a second think that you can’t do it! If at any point you think you Can’t do something, you won’t!

Some people may think that being a better salesperson means being able to lie with a smile. The truth is to be a better salesperson means understanding the product you are selling and understanding who you are selling to.

For example: When I purchased my 4Runner, a friend recommended that I see a particular salesperson to get the best price. I didn’t listen to my friend on my first visit. I sat with the salesperson, and for some reason I just didn’t want to buy from that person. A few days later I made an appointment with the salesperson my friend recommended.

Within a matter of moments, he knew what I wanted. I wanted to get in and take a drive! The other salesperson just showed me books and sales material, and I felt like I was being a bother to her. Did the new salesperson offer me a better price? Nope! But I did buy from him. He knew what questions to ask me, and even though he was still helping another customer, I didn’t feel like I was being a bother to him.

Do you think my salesperson became the best overnight? Of course not, he developed his skills over time.

Achieving Item #3
– Everyone has something unique to offer. The problem is finding and identifying that item. If you are a tax consultant, you can give out tax advice. If you are a salesperson you can give out selling pointers. If you tried a product that worked particularly well, you can make suggestions. OR if you found a product that was worthless, you can save your downline from making a mistake. Maybe you’re good at online marketing or offline marketing. Maybe you have a talent for presentations. Don’t sell yourself short!

Basic Wordpress Settings

By Peter | May 11, 2009

Wordpress is installed and you’re ready to go, right! NO, not yet. In this tutorial I will show you some of the basic configurations I use. This is not a recommendation of what you should do, but it gives you an idea of what’s available to configure.

If the movie doesn’t play above, or if you want to see the movie full screen, Click Here. The full screen version is much clearer. FYI, you need the most recent flash player installed on your browser to view this tutorial.

I will be doing a more advanced tutorial which will have a list of Wordpress plugins I use. You will need an API Key for the advanced tutorial, so go get one now! Or wait around and I’ll write a tutorial to get your API Key.

Four Reasons for Going to once a week posts

By Peter | May 7, 2009

I have decided to update this blog only once a week, on Monday’s at 10 AM HST.

Here are my four reasons for going to once a week posts.

  1. I want to spend more time with my family. This is a catch 22 because in order for me to spend time with my family I need to work on my blog.
  2. I still have a lot to learn about blogging, so I have a lot of researching and reading to do.
  3. My posts seem rushed and unorganized; therefore, I want to slow things down and get things squared away.
  4. I have a couple of side projects I’m working on, and there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in one day to get things done. I am neglecting projects that are already bringing in income.

You can’t rush the process (of building a blog or any business). It’s going to take time. If you do too much, you’ll make mistakes that can cost you money and you’ll get overwhelmed and quit!
